Mickey Goodman has written more than 475 bylined articles in publications such as Reuters International, People Magazine, Veranda, Pink, Southern Living, Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta Woman, Points North, Atlanta Style & Design, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Women’s Wear Daily, Divine Caroline and others. She is a member of The American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA).

• 2007 - First place award from the Alabama Media Professionals (AMP) to Mickey Goodman and Verna Gates for Investigative reporting; "Sex Tourism Thriving in the Bible Belt," Reuters International.
• 2007 - National Federation of Press Women Communications competition Winner, to Mickey Goodman and Verna Gates for Investigative reporting; "Sex Tourism Thriving in the Bible Belt," Reuters International and "21st Century Sex Slaves", Pink Magazine

• 2006 - First place for Investigative Reporting from the Alabama Media Professionals for "You Ain't Been Down My Street." 
• 2003 - Mickey received an award from the Magazine Association of Georgia and the Southeast (MAGS) for an article in Atlanta Woman entitled, "Minimum Wage, Maximum Challenge."
• She was also a nominee in 2004 when the magazine won the organization's top honor, the Grand Gamma Award.
